Protecting & Preserving Our Cedar Creek Watershed

Our vision is to build a healthier, more connected community by restoring and protecting the natural environments entrusted to us while actively engaging the people who live within them.

Working Together

A Shared Purpose

To leave our natural spaces healthier than we found them, while bringing people together through meaningful stewardship, education, restoration, and shared purpose

Making a Difference

Our Community in Action

We envision organized restoration events where volunteers and workers come together in coordinated efforts to rehabilitate parks and natural areas. These projects will be structured using team leaders and delegated roles so that everyone can contribute according to their abilities and strengths.

In addition to restoration and education, we hope to contribute meaningfully to broader environmental understanding through independent observation, data collection, and waterway testing. By sharing our findings with larger environmental organizations and research groups, we can help contribute to a wider picture of regional ecological health and environmental change.

TESTIMONIALS

Cedar Creek Watchdogs has turned concern into action. Instead of just talking about protecting our natural resources, they're rolling up their sleeves and getting things done. Whether it's cleaning up trails, improving park spaces, or educating residents about our watershed, every event leaves the community a little better than it was before. The pride people feel after volunteering is contagious.

I originally showed up to a Cedar Creek Watchdogs cleanup because I wanted to help keep our parks beautiful. What surprised me was how quickly it felt like a community. In just a few hours, I met neighbors I had never spoken to before, learned more about our local waterways, and had a genuinely great time. It's rare to find an organization that makes a real difference while bringing people together in such a positive way.

One of the best things about Cedar Creek Watchdogs is that it never feels like work. Every event is a chance to spend time outdoors, meet new people, and contribute to something bigger than yourself. I've made new friends, discovered parks I never knew existed, and gained a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty we have right here in our backyard. It's become one of my favorite ways to spend a weekend.
